Chasing Geese away from properties

Chasing Geese away from properties

Business Idea:

Making money by Chasing Geese away from properties.

Overview:

In 1986, as the way to drive away unwanted geese from corporate properties, town parks and golf courses, David David Marcks started Geese Police (www.geesepoliceinc.com).

The business idea was fairly simple. Use trained border collies to drive away geese without harming them.

Geese love open spaces that provide them with water and abundant food. Golf courses, and similar settings match the sort of locations geese desire. However, golfers don't really appreciate the resulting goose droppings that tend to cover the ground.

While dealing with the need to clear out one such golf course, David stumbled on the idea that he could train his dog to drive off the geese. After the job was done, David allowed other golf courses to use the dog as a geese deterrant at no charge.

Word soon spread about David and his dog and Geese police was born. The company now has a customer base that includes corporate centers, schools, universities, municipalities, parks, playgrounds, golf courses, cemeteries, and residential communities.
