Going a bit further than the popular online rental companies is a relatively new company called Mobile Movies, Inc.  Through its website, www.1HourMovies.com, the organization aims to make renting movies even easier.

The service allows members the option of renting movies online or by phone and then having the titles delivered right to their door. Supporting the 1-hour effort is a group of drivers servicing specified areas of coverage.  Once the order has been placed, a driver servicing the renter’s area is then directed to deliver the desired title(s) within an hour.

To cut down on transportation time, each driver carries up to five copies of the last few years’ new releases.  Should an obscure title be requested, the company keeps a driver available at the distribution center to deliver it.

In the future, the company hopes to also include snacks for movie watchers as part of the movie delivery experience.
